As per law, Universities do not require AICTE approval. Only institutions which are affiliated to Universities require approval. As Shyam University is a Bonafide University established by a State Act, it does not require AICTE approval. The ruling was notified in the case of Bharathidasan University vs. AICTE. As per AICTE’s reply to an RTI, “Universities including Private Universities established by the State Legislations do not require prior approval from AICTE” However constituent units/colleges of Shyam University are having Approval of AICTE.

The Pharmacy education and profession in India upto graduate level is regulated by the PCI, a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 passed by the Parliament. Main objectives of PCI are towards Regulation of the Pharmacy Education in the Country for the purpose of registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, and, Regulation of Profession and Practice of Pharmacy. PCI has approved our constituent unit Shyam College of Pharmacy course D.Pharm after verifying the various requirements to be satisfied for the award of degree from Session 2018-2019.
The Common University Entrance Test, earlier known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test is an all-India test being organized by National Testing Agency for admission to various Undergraduate, Integrated, Postgraduate, Diploma, Certification courses and Research Programmes in 45 Central Universities of India.
